$4.5 Billion Aid Package Passes in House

The House of Representatives passed a $4.5 billion emergency aid package for the “thousands of migrants packed into overcrowded facilities at the U.S.-Mexico border, but it’s unlikely to get a hearing in the Republican-controlled Senate,” reports NPR. The Senate has a similar, but not identical, plan put forth by the GOP, which is expected to be voted on this week.
